During this event the runner sprinted from one end of the arena to the other side. Nowadays running has many different styles people perform. Running is incorporated into other sports. You can run inside on a treadmill or you can run outside on a trail. You could choose to run short and long distances depending on your favorite style.

Since running is so common it is important to understand the effects it has on your body. First running can help build your stamina. If you are into sports it is important to have good stamina to help you improve your skills. Stamina helps preserve your energy to allow you to play longer.

Second, running can cause injuries to the body. This repetitive movement can create shin splints or knee issues. When running it is common to roll an ankle.It is important to understand that this sport can cause injuries in order to prevent any future injuries. Remember to warm up and stretch out your calf muscles in order to prevent shin splints. To prevent rolling an ankle wear shoes that fit and make sure your path is clear so you don not trip.

Third, running helps burn calories. Make sure you eat lots of healthy high calorie food inorder to keep up your energy. Losing calories can help with weight loss. However It can be easy for you to overeat. This is due to your body wanting more energy after a workout. Foods carbohydrates like pasta will help you feel full.
Improve Mental Health
Lastly, running can help improve mental health. When you run it boosts chemicals in your body making you feel better. If you chose to run outside it can give you more vitamin D. Running outside also helps change your scenery from staying inside all day. When you run it helps you calm your mind and focus better.

Running targets the lower body. The muscles affected by running are the glutes, hamstrings, and quads. Running also targets your core muscles. The group of core muscles are the obliques and rectus abdominis.

It is best to wear clothes that are comfortable and you can move in. Try to avoid jeans and sandals on a run. The type of shoe also is important. The style of shoe depends on your foot. The different types of running shoes are neutral arch, low arch, and high arch. The height of your arch affects the direction your foot rolls. It is important to get proper shoes to prevent injury. This new gym will have more equipment and other options to try once it is opened.
